Welcome to the
HOPE Children's Centre

Sierra Leone

Kent 14 22-04-10.jpeg

Situated in the beautiful coastal location of Kent, south of the Sierra Leone capital of Freetown, the HOPE Children's Centre is a purpose built home created to love and care for the country's vulnerable orphans.

It is estimated that there are over 300,000 orphans living in Sierra Leone, out of a population of just over six million. This devastatingly high number is in part due to the civil war of 1991-2002 where tens of thousands died and a third of the population were displaced, in part also to the Ebola epidemic of 2014-2016 as well as the mud slides of 2017.

The HOPE Children's Centre will initially be home to the very youngest of orphans, who will be protected from exploitation, raised with Christian values, educated, fed, clothed, and loved by the wonderful caregivers who reside with them.
